Together, The Danish central organisations LO, FTF and Akademikerne run the Danish Trade Union EU Office in Brussels.
  • We safeguard the interests of Danish workers in the EU
The Danish central organisations work on behalf of the interests of Danish workers in the EU. This is crucial since many important decisions are taken in the EU. We fight to ensure that workers’ interests are placed at the top of the political agenda in Brussels. Furthermore, we make efforts to ensure that the EU takes into consideration and understands the value of the functioning of the Danish labour market. Here, the social partners - and thereby the trade union movement - play a big role and contribute actively with specific solutions to current challenges.
The Danish trade union movement takes part in the European trade union cooperation
LO, FTF and Akademikerne are members of the European Trade Union Confederation, ETUC, which is a confederation of trade union organisations in Europe. Together, we work for better conditions for Europe’s workers.
